Qualifying new materials for HSS
The development and qualification of new materials for 3D printing is often challenging due to high investment costs or lack of access to resources and equipment. For this reason, the HSS Materials Network was created to generate and share expertise on materials for additive manufacturing and to accelerate their development for our High Speed Sintering (HSS) technology.
In this webinar, we will be joined by experts from Fraunhofer IPA and the University of Bayreuth, who have already successfully tested and qualified a variety of materials as part of the HSS network. Learn all about the workflows, development outsourcing options and processable polymers for High Speed Sintering.

Our Speaker
Anna Tarasova, Research Associate, Fraunhofer IPA
Since 2020, Anna Tarasova has been a research associate at the Fraunhofer Institute IPA in Bayreuth, Germany, responsible for material characterization and parameterization for High Speed Sintering (HSS) technology. Additive manufacturing has been one of her core competencies since the beginning of her academic career. After studying nanotechnology, she successfully completed a master’s degree in materials science and technology. Since 2018, Ms. Tarasova has been working on her PhD at the University of Duisburg-Essen, investigating the influence of material composition and surface structure on properties of laser-sintered components.
In this webinar you will learn:
- which materials can be qualified for the High Speed Sintering (HSS) technology
- all about the vital material properties required for developing an material for HSS
- why our VX200 HSS is the ideal 3D printing platform for material development
- what to do in terms of scaling productivity once our material is qualified
- how the workflows within the HSS material network work
